Service Description

Join in this fun half day practical workshop to learn how to: -Draw your original design and transfer it to a lino block to cut. -Learn how to cut your design and understand how to use the tools and cutting techniques -Learn about the art of contemporary linoprinting as an artform and artists. -Learn to print an edition (4 prints) on rice paper -Make a design you can use to use to make your own unique products Morning tea provided. No art experience required and all materials are provided. An additional information sheet will be sent prior to the workshop. About the Workshop Facilitator Cheryle Yin Lo is an artist, arts educator, ceramicist and printmaker. She has been a long standing member of the professional organisation , The Sydney Printmakers and exhibits regularly in groups exhibitions locally, nationally, and internationally. She is also a member of the Impressed Blue Mountains Print Group. She has worked in the arts and cultural sector for over 20 years. She studied at Sydney College of the Arts and then trained as Art/ESL teacher in high schools. She has taught community art classes and designed and facilitated creative based projects for business, local government , environment , health and community centres. Cheryle is a Creative Mentor and Cultural Consultant and is the Director of Creative Traveller Enterprises. She helps people transform their lives through integrating creativity in every day life through workshops and individual mentoring.
